Photos of Wind Chimes, Buddha Busts & Jim Beam miniatures
created quite a murmur amongst the bloggers & their followers.
Question was, ‘Yeh Upstairs, Upstairs kya hai ?’
Upstairs Asian Bistro : Bar is the recently launched shining star in Tardeo
which has opened its doors to food lovers starting today !
The ambience & menu has been meticulously planned to fit the Asian theme. Infact, to ensure their customers are at ease in their own zen modes, they have placed calming Buddha busts all over the place and a meditating life sized figure on the rooftop.
You have to agree, we are always looking out for some amazing Daaru-Shaaru offers while deciding on a place to party with friends… and we have to say, the one at Upstairs has really caught our attention !
Every drink you order, of a particular brand, gets cheaper as you order more. For Example, if your first peg costed you Rs. 150, the next one will cost you Rs. 125, the next Rs. 100 and the fourth one… Absolutely FREE !
They also have some very interesting Cocktails & Mocktails, some of which we got to try first hand.

We got a chance to have a one-on-one with the Upstairs Bartender, Sid who says ‘ Though I love all the drinks here, one that is my personal favourite would be….
The base of the Kireina is vodka with a melange of Galangal and Elder Flower and a hint of Apple Juice. Before you take a sip you have take a good whiff of the fumes to even better the experience. We serve this one in a traditional sake glass.
Also, another one that I would recommend is the…
…Upstairs Infinity Shot.
One must begin by breathing in some Vodka fumes and is then turned around on our barstool a couple of times. Then must drown a Kamikaze shot and again spin around a few more times on the barstool … and after all this walk down 2 steps to the ground. Its a shot for the adventurous and for those who love a challenge ! ‘
To give your taste buds a treat, Upstairs has gone a few extra miles. In their menu, they have included dishes that have originated from 15 destinations such as Thailand, Japan, Vietnam. The Chef Specials include Som Tom, a traditionally made raw papaya salad with a tang of spice & tart, along with; Mo MiKinh, a delicately flavored dish consisting of Vietnamese glass noodles seasoned the chef’s ultra-confidential ingredients to make it unforgettable for the taste buds.
Upstairs had a crazy launch party over the entire weekend with a number of food blogger across Mumbai who were treated to some specials
and this is what they have to say :
Roopesh Kadam – ‘I loved the ambience, the bar counter was my favourite part. Upstairs, is certainly my pick if anyone wants to try out something new. Hope the crowd will like it as much as I did. Must try the Charcoal Sour & Massive Long Island Tea.’
Jagruti Punjabi – ‘Upstairs has a very Arabic party like ambience. My Favourite drink of the night was the Massive Long Island Tea.’
Shourya Joshi – ‘ I liked the Ambience, it is very zen right from the Buddha sitting right in the center of the rooftop and to all the bright fairy lights. The Upstairs Infinity shot was something I certainly recommend ! ‘
Vrajesh Vyas – ‘ TheRooftop section is quite fancy, I really like the seating & its ambience. The lounge i felt is a bit small but the rooftop certainly makes up for it. I heard Aloo paratha with Khowsuey was phenomenal, something I am dying to try on my next visit. ‘
Mrunal Desai – ‘ What caught my eye the most about the Ambience was the double decker seating. The Upstairs Infinity shot was really innovative & very attractive ! I believe all the Cocktails were very good. The Goldfish cocktail was my favourite though I missed having it with the goldfish experience. A great place to party.’
