This time master pâtissier, Sanjana Patel had another fun activity up her sleeve to celebrate the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Chef & Team La Folie visited the Angel Xpress Foundation Bandstand centre with trays and tray of colourful cookies & macaroons. The #AXF kids had already begun drooling (Frankly us too) and couldn’t wait to get their hands on the goodies in sight.
Along with the beautiful treats, they also brought four large flex sheets with an outline of Bappa on them. The activity was for the kids to place the colourful goodies on the flex sheets to represent a vibrant rangoli.
The activity began with a Boys Vs. Girls contest with Chef Sanjana heading the girls team and her husband heading the boys.
Both the teams were completely engrossed in making their rangoli stand out and regrettably a few macaroons bore the brunt.
The end result was gorgeous and we were all in two minds weather to eat the treats or not…
….but the stomach ruled over the heart and we all began gulping as many as we could.
The children even took plates full of them back home with their icing covered mouths.
A perfect celebration to welcome the festivities of Ganesh Chaturthi.
La Folie will be making the festivities sweeter by selling chocolate modaks which are actually chocolate marquise bite-sized pastries along with a few other interesting desserts made for the occasion of Ganpati. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these desserts, from the 5th – 9th September 2016, will be directly given to the Angel Xpress Foundation !!!
The special Desserts will be available across both the La Folie Outlets – La Folie Patisserie, Kala Ghoda as well as La Folie Lab, Bandra.
