“Better than any argument, is to rise at dawn
and pick dew-wet red berries in a cup.”
– Wendell Berry
“….Or better yet, a cup filled with berry ice cream.”
A fruity way to cool off on a hot summer day or a refreshing dessert to end a yummy meal, Natural ice-cream has been a household name for years!
One of our reviewers fondly remembers her first scoop of Natural ice cream – Tender Coconut. The taste of coconut water & the itty bitty coconut bits in the ice cream has been the absolute same when she tried it over 20 years ago! This flavour made her instantly fall in love with the brand and she has been an ardent fan ever since.

When we heard about their Berry Festival and we just had to try it out!
Their #BerryFestival2016 brought with it, apart from Strawberry, the flavours – Raspberry, Blueberry, Black Current, Mulberry, Gooseberry & Cranberry.
We got to try the flavours – Raspberry, Blueberry, Black Current, Mulberry & Strawberry.
Sadly the first flavour turned out to be a bit of a miss! The ice cream had a nice slight tang to it but it was extremely seedy. We tried to get past them, however, there were too many to ignore.
Like Raspberry, Mulberry too had a bit of seeds in them. Not as many as the former but you do find some playing hide and seek in your bite. A little less on the tang but not a complete miss.
This flavour has been a great seasonal favourite. The lovely bits of soft tangy strawberry amidst the cold ice cream is delightful.
This flavour for us is a 4/5.
This flavour missed out a bit on the tang but did give you the sweet taste of blueberry, however, it leaves a very milky aftertaste.
To Blueberry we give a 2.5/5
Excited to get tangy bits of raisins, we took our first bite; but sadly, we got a strong taste of syrup. The ice cream alone tasted alright, but with the current, was a bit too strong.
Black Current for us was a 1/5
The Gooseberry ice cream had the Cape Gooseberry variety as their core flavour. The Cape Gooseberry alone is a mixture of sweet, sour & a hint of bitter. The bitter part was what concerned us before we tasted the ice cream but we were pleasantly surprised. The Gooseberry ice cream was sweet, had hints of zest and with the base ice cream flavour it was a perfect match! The fruity bits in the ice cream were a delight & the tiny seeds, though visible, were non-existent in the bite.
Gooseberry you deserve a 4.5/5
We haven’t gotten our hands on Cranberry but really hope it tastes awesome!
