Buildings by Nilesh and Ganesh Patil,
Constructors on full throttle.
With a love to explore, both places and food,
They had an idea that was good.
Thus, Royal Masterchef Fine dine and Bar,
Became their baby their star.
This is hard work and dedication not based on luck,
A different world for them to construct.
We loved the geometry,
The open place vibe.
We loved all the potted plants outside.
You can easily sit in,
But outside you can’t,
We really wouldn’t mind a table neighbour for a plan.
Orange Mint Cooler
The moment you read cooler,
You’re going to think refreshing.
Now did this do the trick,
Is probably what you’re guessing.
We’ll assure you it’s a favourite,
Cause we’re going back for round two.
And we felt a hint of Mosambi,
Though it’s not on the menu.
This drink has fresh cream,
Now before the health-conscious scream,
There is pineapple juice and strawberry crush, which should set things right,
And though this beautiful pink drink looks heavy,
It tastes like a shake and is refreshingly light.
The Green Hornet
A super-hero fights crime,
A good Mocktail fights a bad time,
While the hero makes you smile by fighting villains in the dark.
Apart from the beautiful emerald green colour this fails to leave a mark.
Mixed Fruit Float
Mixed Fruit Float, we love saying it out.
The name rolls off your tongue like a dancing cloud.
But take a few sips and you’ll know the true surprise.
That subtle hint of rose that’s hiding from your eyes.
The Chocolate Shake
Chocolate Ice Cream, Orange Crush and blend with cold milk.
‘Twas visually so hearty looked and with texture like silk.
But a few sips in, our hearts and taste buds had noticed something strange,
Thought the shake looked fine, it felt diluted and we couldn’t taste the Orange.
Hot Greenish Soup
The ‘ish’ made us ‘ish’
We were sceptical to review,
But bloody hell!
That taste changed our view.
There was Broccoli, Zucchini,
And garlic in there.
Our taste buds,
They had a fun fair!
All in all,
We loved it.
This little surprise,
The Tomkha Soup, from the cuisine Thai!
was an amalgamation of coconut and spice.
With tiny chicken pieces, and a chilli oil drizzle,
It’ll lift up your mood by making your tongue sizzle.
Paneer Tai Chi
Take some soy chilli garlic,
And some crunchy scallion leaves,
Take some soft cubes of paneer,
And toss them in these,
Think chilli, soya and Chicken,
But not too spicy.
That’s the kind of dish,
Aloo Cheese Logs
Always say yes please,
Whenever you hear potato and cheese.
The double pointed ovals, nice and brown,
With a slight crisp but softness all around,
The potato was stronger, with no flavour caprice.
We’d probably recommend the use of a different type of cheese.
Not every dish had its day,
But some still find a way,
The mushroom we tried to savour,
Was button so couldn’t soak in all the flavour,
Not overpowering, but the pesto was over by a bit,
Shiitake could have probably made it a hit.
But don’t let that bring you down about this food,
It has others flavours too that are really very good.
Honey Mustard Chicken
We’ve often head this name before.
It masquerades as a sauce, sometimes as a dip and some identities yet to be found.
But here it was a cloak.
These pieces free of bone wore that golden translucent cloak,
A cloak masked by an undertone aura of mustard.
For these bits were the warriors of the night.
And shall be remembered as the victors of the war on taste.
3 Flavoured Spiced Chicken
Here’s a good starter,
So pay attention, please.
It’s sweet and spice,
With a sting of basil leaves.
If anything we feel,
The sourness was missed.
But we thoroughly enjoyed,
This Indo-Chinese, 65ish dish.
Oh, moist and soft boneless piece,
You were not as creamy as we thought you’d be.
But the coleslaw surprise you brought on the side,
And the smokey flavour that took our tongues for a ride,
We liked you a lot don’t you see.
Oh, moist and soft boneless piece.
In a dish that felt shallow,
The quantity is actually big.
The cheese sauce and Mozzarella,
Blends to the right kind of thick.
And a tiny bit of cooking wine,
To hold the flavour in place.
And a variety of side dishes,
That fills up your plate.
Carrots, bell peppers,
And a whole bunch of other veggies
And big crispy croutons,
Need we say more.
You can make each bite crunchier,
Than the one before.
Grilling a steak is an art that’s complex,
You either get it right or you give the task a rest.
That window is very small.
And in that window, they found what’s perfect,
Put brown sauce on top, a gustatorial delect.
But that was not all.
There was pasta in arrabbiata with fries on the side,
Macedonia Veggies that you just have to try.
This is the Mains you should call.
Lake Fish Forestiere
When you take a fillet of fish and marinate it in mustard sauce,
It already starts to sound nice.
Then you grill it and top it with paprika sauce,
And place it next to buttered rice.
A little more to eat, for the meal to be complete,
So throw in the Macedonia Veggies.
So much on a plate, This dish sounds so great,
Is your mouth watering already?
There were hints of flavours from all the desserts,
But a unifrom density too.
The coulis was lovely in the Bluberry Cheese Cake,
Now onto the Tiramisu.
The coffee dipped sweet sponge biscuit wasn’t there,
Cocoa present, but too mild to get a clear taste.
And the Thandai in the Pannacotta was equally mild,
But that dense taste for all became a base.
We’re fussy about toilets,
It reflects hygiene.
So we checked out this place
To see if it’s clean.
The ladies told us,
There are plastic covers for the seats,
You only need to press
A button on a machine.
When asked with no covers,
Would they still use the loo?
They said it was clean as ever,
And they definitely would do.
…The men were cool too.
